Rosenheim – One of the largest new construction projects in the area of vocational training has been developed at Anckelmannstraße in Hamburg: Hamburg's largest vocational training centre for commerce and administration offers training for some 4,000 students.

Four previously independent vocational colleges were merged on the site to create two amalgamated colleges: the Berufliche Schule für Handel und Verwaltung Anckelmannstraße, An der Alster (St. Georg) and Eppendorf (Vocational Colleges for Commerce and Administration) as well as the Staatliche Handelsschule Altona (State-run Altona Business School). The construction project, which cost in the region of 55 million euros, comprises three new buildings.

Each of the two amalgamated colleges is located in a separate block with its own courtyard, classrooms and instructor workstations. The third building is used by both colleges. A central Piazza and a common canteen act as the meeting place for the students.

Two-field sports hall with HARO sports floor and protective wall

To make sure the students can achieve optimum performance at all times, regardless of the weather, the new sports hall with its two fields was equipped with high-quality sports flooring manufactured by Rosenheim’s sports flooring specialist HARO Sports. Thanks to its preassembled double-swing beam system, the high-performance Munich flooring model features outstanding properties tailored to soften the physiological impact of sport.

A sports floor measuring 810 m² with lino top covering in red-marbled look was installed in the sports hall. HARO’s protective walls were again the product of choice: HARO’s protective wall system “Protect Classic Plywood” with acoustic perforations in the Pine Tessin textured surface fulfils the client’s specifications to perfection. The protective wall measuring some 540 m² contributes essentially to the excellent room acoustics.
